3P Delivery Authority is committed to providing quality services to you, and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations in respect of how we manage your personal information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your personal information.

The Personal Information we Collect

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.

When you subscribe/register on our Learning Management System (LMS), you (or the person registering for you) are required to provide us with:

  • Your full name

  • Organisation

  • Position

  • Email address

The LMS will also collect your IP address as part of the subscription/registration process.

When transactions between you and our website involve payment by credit card, debit card, and/or third-party online payment services, we will collect information related to the transaction as part of the course of doing business with you. Transactional information includes payment details, contact name, billing address, contact number, and other information related to the transaction.

If you submit a query via our website, we will collect the following information:

  • Your full name

  • Email address

  • Contact number

When you access the 3P Delivery Authority website, 3P Delivery Authority does not attempt to identify individual users and will not collect personal information unless the individual specifically provides it.

A “cookie” is a device that allows a server to identify and interact more effectively with your computer. Cookies do not identify individual users, but they do identify your ISP and your browser type. The 3P Delivery Authority website uses temporary cookies. The temporary cookie assigned to you is destroyed upon closing your browser, and no personal information is maintained, which will identify you at a later date. If you contact us via the website’s Inquiry Form on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you complete another form. These cookies will last for one year.

Personal information, such as email addresses is not collected unless it is provided. 3P Delivery Authority does not disclose domain names or aggregate information to third parties other than agents who assist us with the website and who are under obligations of confidentiality. Why do we Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information for the primary purpose of providing our services and information to our clients and marketing. 3P Delivery Authority may share your information with other parties who provide services to us, including organisations, agents, partners and contractors that assist us in providing services to you. We may also use your personal information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.

When we collect personal information where appropriate and possible, we will explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Anonymity and Pseudonymity

Whenever practical, 3P Delivery Authority provides individuals with the option of not identifying themselves, or of using a pseudonym (fictitious name). This includes providing opportunities for anonymous dealings in cases of general inquiries or other situations where it is permissible for an individuals’ information not to be required when completing a request.

Individuals may deal with us by using a name, term or descriptor that is different from the individual’s actual name. Or using generic email addresses that does not contain an individual’s real name or generic names when individuals access our website’s Inquiry Forms.

With the LMS, the preference is for individuals to provide their full name, organisation, position and email address to allow us to register and acknowledge that you have participated and completed the training. If you opt to deal with us anonymously or by using a pseudonym, we may not be able to provide you with records of your training.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. For our purposes, 3P Delivery Authority has no requirement to collect such information; however, if it were required, it would not be collected without your prior consent or where required or authorised by law.

Dealing with Unsolicited Personal Information

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your personal information only from you. However, in some circumstances, we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

By using the LMS, your personal information may also be collected directly by these third-party providers and shared with 3P Delivery Authority. If 3P Delivery Authority determines that it is not appropriate for us to have this unsolicited information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information.

Notification of the Collection of Personal Information

In the unlikely event that 3P Delivery Authority needs to collect personal information from you, a notice of request will be sent to you using the contact information we already have. You will be given the option to opt out of sharing that information.

Use or Disclosure of Personal Information

Your personal information may be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • To third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

  • Due to enforcement related activities.

If 3P Delivery Authority has to use/disclose personal information following an enforcement related activity to an enforcement body, we will make a written note of the use/disclosure to include the following details:

  • The date of the use or disclosure

  • Details of the personal information that was used or disclosed

  • The enforcement body conducting the enforcement related activity

  • If the organisation used the information, how the information was used

  • The basis for our reasonable belief that we were legally required to disclose the information.

Under no circumstances do we sell our client details to any third parties for unsolicited communications.

Direct Marketing

We do not presently engage the services of any third parties for direct marketing purposes. 3P Delivery Authority only uses the personal information that we hold about an individual for direct marketing, under the provision that:

  • The personal information has been collected directly from an individual

  • The individual would reasonably expect their personal information to be used for our direct marketing communications.

Cross Border Disclosure of Personal Information

3P Delivery Authority uses a LMS to support the delivery of learning modules and webinars. The LMS provider is located in Canada. 3P Delivery Authority is confident that the provider’s own privacy policy does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles concerning collection, use and disclosure of this information.

Adoption, Use or Disclosure of Government Related Identifiers

3P Delivery Authority does not adopt, use, or disclose a government related identifier as a related identifier. Examples of a government related identifier include Medicare numbers, Centrelink reference numbers, drivers licence numbers or Australian passport numbers.

Quality of Personal Information

It is important to us that your personal information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information that is collected is accurate, complete, and up to date. Where 3P Delivery Authority uses or discloses your personal information, we will ensure that you are aware of the purpose, and the information is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant.

Security of Personal Information

3P Delivery Authority takes active measures to consider whether we can retain the personal information we hold and also to ensure the security of personal information we keep. The measures include reasonable steps to protect the information from misuse, interference, and loss, as well as unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information. Information stored in client files however will be kept for a minimum of seven (7) years.

Access to your Personal Information

You may access the personal information we hold about you to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us via [email protected]. We will respond to your request within five (5) business days.

3P Delivery Authority will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information.

To protect your personal information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Correction of your Personal Information

If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise as soon as practicable via [email protected] so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you. We will respond to your request within five (5) business days.

If 3P Delivery Authority has provided this information to a third party with your consent, we will take reasonable steps to notify the third party of the corrections.
